Final details of home buying

    Before closing can occur, our team’s closing coordinator will ensure:

    • Loan approval has occurred
    • Conditions for closing have been met
    • Occupancy permit has been obtained, if new construction
    • Home warranty application is processed
    • Contractual agreements have been fulfilled
    • Amendments to the contract are signed
    •  Escrow information is accurate
    • Lien waivers are in place, if needed
    • Title insurance policy, if ordered
    • Title company is ready for closing
    • Closing statement has been reviewed by realtor
    • Affidavits, as needed
    • Inform you of the amount of funds you will need to bring to closing, if any, in the form of a cashier’s check payable to the title company

    The keys to your new home will be given to you at closing, unless the possession of the property is after closing. If after closing, then your agent will assist with coordinating the receipt of keys.

    2. Change your address
    3. Arrange the moving company or truck rental
    4. If moving out of state, obtain medical, school and banking records
